PHOENIX – On Tuesday, July 14th, Gov. Katie Hobbs returned to her alma mater, Arizona State University, to cast her ballot in the 2026 Arizona primary election. Back on the campus where she earned her degree in social work, Hobbs encouraged students and young voters to participate in the election and underscored the importance of electing leaders who will lower costs and always put Arizona first.

  • Anchor: Governor Hobbs is also encouraging Arizonans to cast their ballots. The governor returned to her alma mater, Arizona State University, this morning to drop off her own early ballot.

  • Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-Ariz.) voted early at Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe Tuesday.

  • In a post on X, Gov. Hobbs, who is running for reelection, said, “Arizona’s primary election is a week away! Glad to get back on campus this morning to vote with some Sun Devils.”

  • In an earlier post on X, the governor said, “Arizona, it’s not too late to drop off your early vote ballot,” as well as shared a link for Arizona residents to find their drop box location.

  • Hobbs is running unopposed in the Arizona primary and will be squaring off against whoever wins the primary for the other parties, including the Republican race for governor.
