OVERVIEW OF RACE
Party Spending:
Arizona law allows political party committees to make unlimited coordinated expenditures in support of its nominees. The Hobbs campaign expects to benefit from coordinated expenditures from at least two political party committees, the Navajo County Democratic Committee and the Arizona Democratic Party. Money spent by political parties goes much further. For example, political parties can mail at a savings of up to $0.20 per piece versus organizations mailing with a bulk mail permit. Additionally, the cost of advertising on television is about twice as expensive for an independent expenditure, whereas political parties making coordinated expenditures can get twice as many impressions for the same amount of money using the candidate rate. Hobbs’ joint fundraising committee, Katie Hobbs Victory Fund, may accept unlimited contributions and may make unlimited transfers to any Arizona political party committee. - Andy Biggs is a Washington politician who has repeatedly fought to take healthcare away from Arizonans, even though he has taxpayer-funded Washington politician Cadillac health insurance.
- He voted to increase insurance premiums for over 400,000 Arizonans, and 200,000 Arizonans lost their healthcare altogether because of his votes.
- The healthcare cuts he voted for this year have already led to the closure of 1 hospital, 9 health clinics, and have put 8 more Arizona hospitals at risk of closing – and still he says he wants “the more cut approach.”
- While serving in the Arizona State Senate, he opposed healthcare for children and fought against bipartisan efforts to expand access to affordable healthcare.
- He sponsored legislation to eliminate Medicaid in Arizona entirely, which would have ripped away healthcare from 1.8 million Arizonans, including hundreds of thousands of children.
- Andy Biggs is a Washington politician who cannot be trusted to protect Arizona’s seniors.
- He voted to raise the Social Security retirement age to 69.
- He voted to block Medicare from lowering the cost of life-saving medications, and opposed capping the cost of insulin.

Katie Hobbs has lived the same struggles as everyday Arizonans and is working across the aisle to tackle the challenges politicians have ignored for decades. Most importantly, she is standing up for the state of Arizona, and she always puts Arizonans first. (BACKUP)

- She has cut taxes each of the last four years for working families, veterans, and small businesses; cut utility costs; and cut red tape to make housing more affordable and eliminated the tax on rent.
- She eliminated tax on tips and overtime, raised the standard deduction, gave seniors an additional $6,000 deduction, and expanded the child tax credit.
- She canceled medical debt for nearly 700,000 Arizonans and launched AZRx, a program available to all Arizonans that saves up to 80 percent on prescription drugs.
- Katie Hobbs has experienced many of the same challenges Arizonans have.
- She grew up in a working-class family that struggled to make ends meet and sometimes relied on food stamps.
