PHOENIX – Gov. Katie Hobbs has outraised the entire GOP field combined for a sixth straight time—shattering the previous record for amount raised in the second quarter of the election year.
The Hobbs campaign has already spent nearly eight weeks on television, digital, and radio communicating directly with Arizonans in English and Spanish about how Katie’s working-class upbringing motivates her to fight for lower costs for Arizona families. Her campaign got a historically early start on paid communication, which will only ramp up closer to the November election. Hobbs’ huge fundraising advantage gives her a head start, while her Republican opponents remain locked in a chaotic primary that is draining their resources before they can even start communicating with general election voters.
As Hobbs remains laser-focused on lowering costs for Arizonans, Andy Biggs and David Schweikert are dragging each other into a fight to the bottom and racing to embrace devastating policies including cuts to healthcare, tax hikes on seniors, and cost-hiking tariffs that raise everyday costs for Arizona families.
Meanwhile, the race has moved further in Hobbs’ direction with top election forecaster Cook Political Report shifting the Arizona gubernatorial race from “Toss Up” to “Lean Democrat.”
“Katie Hobbs is getting results for Arizona families, while her opponents are trading blows and torching cash trying to sell their dangerous policies and extreme records,” said Nicole DeMont, Hobbs’ Campaign Manager. “Meanwhile, Katie is building a broad coalition of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents heading into the general election, all united behind her fight for working families.”
