Katie Hobbs Opens Petition To Get on 2026 Ballot

Monday, August 18, 2025

PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs filed her statement of interest to begin collecting petition signatures to secure ballot access for her 2026 re-election campaign, with the campaign highlighting her record of delivering results for Arizona families while tackling the state’s most pressing challenges.

“Katie Hobbs knows how to turn challenges into opportunities — and is fighting to make Arizona the best place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Nicole DeMont, Hobbs’ Campaign Manager. “In just the past few years, she’s stopped 25 million fentanyl pills from crossing our border, is canceling $2 billion in medical debt, and blocked a foreign corporation from draining our groundwater. But there’s more to do. Arizona needs leaders who look to the future, not the past — leaders who roll up their sleeves and bring people together to get things done. That’s why we’re asking eligible Arizonans to sign Katie’s petition and help her keep securing the border, cutting everyday costs, and putting aside partisan politics to deliver for Arizona families.”

Registered Independent and Democratic voters in Arizona can sign the petition and get involved at katiehobbs.org/petition.

This comes on the heels of unprecedented campaign momentum, including continuing to build a warchest for the general election and outraising the GOP field twice already. The campaign has also earned key endorsements from major organizations, including the Arizona AFL-CIO—representing over 185,000 union members—and EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for electing women in politics. These endorsements reflect the broad coalition of support behind Hobbs’ pragmatic, results-driven leadership.
