PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs’ campaign and the Navajo County Democratic Committee released new Spanish-language TV and radio ads, “Dinerito Extra” (“Extra Cash”), spotlighting her work to eliminate taxes on tips and overtime pay, cutting taxes for Arizona’s working families.
“Dinerito Extra” showcases the hardworking Arizonans who power our state and depend on tips to make ends meet — from restaurant workers and delivery drivers to musicians, skilled trades, and creative professionals — and highlights how Gov. Hobbs delivered real relief for them. By working across the aisle to negotiate a bipartisan budget she signed into law, she eliminated taxes on tips and overtime pay, putting more money directly into the pockets of working families across Arizona.
“Katie Hobbs knows what it’s like to stretch every dollar because she’s lived it,” said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for the Hobbs campaign. “She’s worked two and three jobs to make ends meet, so she knows that every dollar counts when you’re trying to pay rent or put food on the table. That’s why she fought for middle-class tax cuts to eliminate tax on tips and overtime pay, and put more money back in working families’ pockets.”
