PHOENIX –Â Today, Gov. Katie Hobbsâ campaign and the Navajo County Democratic Committee released a new Spanish-language ad, âDe Puro Sudorâ (âDrenched in Sweatâ), highlighting Katie Hobbsâ record of lowering costs, cutting taxes, and putting money back in the pockets of working families.
“De Puro Sudor” features small business owner Alex Macias, who took over the furniture store his parents founded and credits Katie Hobbs’ firsthand understanding of Arizona families’ struggles as the driving force behind the results sheâs delivered. Every year in office, Hobbs has worked across the aisle to cut taxes for small businesses, veterans, seniors, and families, eliminating taxes on rent, tips, and overtime pay while fighting to lower costs and help small businesses grow.
âKatie Hobbs believes Arizonans who work hard every day to build a better life for their families deserve someone fighting just as hard for them,â said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for the Hobbs campaign. âThatâs why sheâs cut taxes for small businesses and middle-class families and worked across the aisle to lower costs â because hardworking Arizonans deserve a fair shot to get ahead.â
The Hobbs campaign has prioritized early, robust communication to the Latino community in its paid media program. These new ads build on a previously announced multi-million-dollar Spanish buy highlighting how Katie Hobbsâ working-class background â from driving for Uber to support her family to helping domestic violence survivors rebuild their lives through social work â motivates her as governor to fight to lower costs, erase medical debt, reduce prescription drug prices, and create good-paying jobs across Arizona. She also launched Familias Primero, a coalition of Latino leaders, community members, and local elected officials working to re-elect her.
