“Crimes”: New Ad Details Andy Biggs’ Record of Protecting a Pedophile Cult

PHOENIX – Today, the Katie Hobbs campaign, in conjunction with the Navajo County Democratic Committee, released a new ad, “Crimes,” exposing Andy Biggs for protecting a corrupt pedophile cult, led by convicted child rapist Warren Jeffs, that abused women and underage girls in Colorado City, Arizona. As one of Biggs’ own Republican colleagues put it, “Women and children suffered three years longer than they should have because [Biggs] protected the bad guys.”

The spot details the crimes committed under Warren Jeffs and Biggs’ decision to protect the people enabling the abuse instead of the women and children who needed protection.

While serving as Arizona Senate President, Biggs singlehandedly blocked bipartisan reforms that would have protected women and children from the corrupt system enabling abuse in Colorado City, allowing the pedophile cult to continue trafficking and abusing children for years. When asked last week whether he knew what was happening in Colorado City at the time, Biggs admitted, “I was the Senate President. I knew what was going on.”

This ad comes as Biggs’ decades-long record of protecting pedophiles and sex traffickers is coming to light.
