- Anchor: Today, Governor Katie Hobbs joined Senator Mark Kelly for a house party in legislative district two. The stop was part of Kelly’s âFull Speed Aheadâ series of campaign events. Both urged supporters to get out the vote, with Kelly focusing on lowering costs and housing and Hobbs making the case for another four years in office.
- Hobbs: And I’m going to keep fighting for Arizona families for the next four years, but I need all of your help to do that. Because this is going to be a close race, and so we cannot take any vote for granted.
- Kelly: Together, we can lower costs. We can make sure that we build homes instead of protect hedge funds. We can make corporations pay their fair share, and we can make sure that all of us have a say in how AI changes the economy.

KSAZ: Arizona gubernatorial candidates on the campaign trailÂ
- Anchor: Meantime, with just two weeks now until Election Day, both candidates for governor are hitting the campaign trail in Arizona.
- Anchor: Governor Hobbs rallied supporters this morning during a “Get out the Vote” house party in the North Valley. She was joined by Senator Mark Kelly and District 2 candidates as well, urging voters to cast their ballot.
- Hobbs: This is going to be a close race, and so we cannot take any vote for granted. This is the most competitive Democratic governor’s reelection in the entire country.Â
- Hobbs: As you remember, I won by a very narrow margin in 2022, less than a percent. And Donald Trump won here with the largest margin of any swing state. The electorate is plus nine Republican, so we have our work cut out for us to make sure that we finish this race strong.
