PHOENIX – Today, Katie Hobbs, in conjunction with the Navajo County Democratic Committee, launched a new ad, “Crackdown,” highlighting her work to crack down on fraud and recover $140 million for Arizona taxpayers.
The ad features Leesa Weisz, Arizona’s first Homeland Security Director and a former prosecutor in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, who credits Governor Hobbs for cracking down on financial fraud. Weisz says that while many politicians only talk about taking on corruption, Hobbs took action to prevent further abuse and recover taxpayer money.
“Katie Hobbs took on scammers, stopped fraud, and helped recover $140 million for Arizona taxpayers,” said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for the Hobbs campaign. “She led the fight to protect taxpayer dollars and hold bad actors accountable, and she’ll keep putting Arizonans first by cracking down on fraud, stopping corruption, and putting more money back in Arizonans’ pockets.”
