Katie Hobbs Launches Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Katie Coalition

PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs launched Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Katie, a coalition of leaders, community members, and elected officials working to re-elect her. This coalition underscores Hobbs’ commitment to earning the vote of every Arizonan, including Asian American and Pacific Islander families.

“Arizona is home to a diverse and vibrant Asian American and Pacific Islander community that contributes so much to our state,” said Katie Hobbs. “As governor, I’ve worked to lower costs, cut taxes, expand healthcare access, and support small businesses so every Arizona family has the ability to thrive. I’m proud to launch this coalition alongside AAPI leaders and community members as we continue working to deliver for families across Arizona.”

The coalition launch builds on the campaign’s efforts to engage AAPI communities across Arizona. Last week, John Giles visited Mekong Plaza, one of Mesa’s cultural and economic hubs, to meet with local business owners and community members. The visit highlighted the entrepreneurs from across the world who are building businesses, creating jobs, and contributing to a community staple in Giles’ hometown.

As governor, Katie has consistently delivered on key issues that matter most: lowering everyday costs, expanding access to healthcare, and supporting small businesses. She cut taxes every year for middle-class families, veterans, and small businesses, eliminated $1 billion in medical debt for nearly 700,000 Arizonans, and lowered prescription costs by up to 80 percent through AZRx. Katie has also focused on empowering small businesses by launching Talent Ready AZ to help workers build skills and connect with employers, increase access to childcare for working families, and make it easier for small businesses to access low-interest loans.
