TUCSON – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs and her running mate, former Mesa Mayor John Giles, sat down with pediatricians, medical professionals, school nurses, and healthcare advocates for a roundtable discussion on the importance of KidsCare and access to affordable healthcare.

“No family should be worried about whether or not they can afford to take their kids to the doctor. That’s why programs like KidsCare are critical, ensuring all Arizona children can get the healthcare they need,” said Gov. Katie Hobbs. “As governor, I’ve expanded access to KidsCare, lowered prescription drug costs, and erased $1 billion in medical debt for more than 670,000 Arizonans. I’ll keep fighting to ensure every Arizonan, no matter where they live or how much they earn, can provide their families with the care they deserve.”

Throughout her administration, Hobbs has worked to make healthcare more affordable, expanded KidsCare to provide 10,000 more children in working-class families the coverage they need, lowered prescription drug costs, and erased $1 billion in medical debt for nearly 700,000 Arizonans.
