MESA – Today, former Mesa Mayor John Giles, Gov. Katie Hobbs’ running mate, returned to his hometown of Mesa to cast his ballot in the 2026 Arizona general election. Joined by members of the Arizona Over Party coalition, Giles urged Arizonans to vote and underscored the importance of electing leaders who will always put delivering for Arizona ahead of partisan politics. A lifelong Republican before becoming an Independent earlier this year, Giles has built a reputation as a commonsense problem solver who has always put Arizona first.
“It’s incredible to be back in my hometown of Mesa to cast my vote in such a critical election for Arizona,” said former Mesa Mayor John Giles. “While Andy Biggs has focused on pushing a divisive and partisan Washington agenda, Katie Hobbs has a proven record of bringing people together and delivering results. I want to encourage every Arizonan, regardless of party, who believes in putting Arizona first to make a plan to vote and vote early.”
