PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer stopped by Taco Viva to enjoy some of Phoenix’s best tacos and sit down with the owner to discuss how Washington’s cost-hiking policies are hitting local businesses. They then headed to Scottsdale to kick off a get-out-the-vote canvass with Reproductive Freedom For All President Mini Timmaraju.

Katie and Gretchen visited Taco Viva and sat down with Rigo Neri, founder and managing partner of Taco Viva, to discuss how rising costs coming out of Washington, D.C. are squeezing his operations.

Afterward, the governors headed to Scottsdale to launch a canvass with Reproductive Freedom For All President Mini Timmaraju. There, they highlighted Gov. Hobbs’ record as a champion for reproductive freedom, including her leadership in repealing Arizona’s 1864 total abortion ban. They underscored the stakes of this election for reproductive rights, contrasting Hobbs’ record with Andy Biggs’ support for a national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest that threatens the rights Arizonans enshrined in the state’s constitution with the passage of Prop 139 in 2024.
