PHOENIX – Gov. Katie Hobbs and her pick for lieutenant governor, John Giles, hit the airwaves after announcing their historic, bipartisan ticket, appearing on local television outlets to share their Arizona First vision and their commitment to keep delivering for Arizonans.
The selection has already drawn national attention for the coalition Hobbs and Giles are building around putting Arizona first. The Washington Post called the decision from Hobbs a âpolitically rare ticket in an era when partisanship reigns supreme.â On FOX 10 Talks Republican political consultant Marcus DellâArtino noted the fact that the ticket âcaptured the message,â and will build a broad coalition uniting Republicans, Independents, Democrats. Bloomberg called it âa surprising act of bipartisanship in an era otherwise defined by extreme political polarization.â One Republican consultant said Giles is âregarded amongst the non-partisan element of the state as a problem solver.âÂ
