Democrats Serve PAC Endorses Katie Hobbs for Governor

PHOENIX—Democrats Serve — a new national political action committee (PAC) that supports Democrats with public service backgrounds to run for office — endorsed Secretary Katie Hobbs’ campaign to be Arizona’s next governor.

“I am thrilled to have the support of Democrats Serve, which supports public service workers who are stepping up to make a difference for their communities,” said Secretary of State Katie Hobbs. “I believe that my time as a social worker has pushed me to make our state better and has inspired me to deliver accountability, transparency, and results for Arizonans, which I will continue to do as governor.”

“Katie Hobbs knows public service. From advocating for women in crisis as a social worker, to expanding job training opportunities as a state legislator, to protecting voting rights as secretary of state, Katie has a proven track record of delivering for Arizona families.” said Democrats Serve PAC Executive Director Brett Broesder. “Whether it’s peddling conspiracy theories about the 2020 election or refusing to investigate the role politics played in allowing insurrectionists to kill a police officer, Republicans have made their priorities clear: appeasing right-wing extremists trumps law and order. That’s why Katie Hobbs, with a strong track record of public service and standing up for Arizonans as a social worker, legislator, and secretary of state — even amid death threats and armed protesters showing up at her home — is receiving our endorsement in her run for governor.”

Since launching, Democrats Serve has endorsed several competitive elections up and down the ballot. Their mission is to elect policymakers who have worked directly in their communities, so that their insight and experience is able to help people at their most vulnerable moments.
