PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs announced the endorsement of Senator Ruben Gallego for her re-election in 2026. Senator Gallego shared the announcement in a new video, highlighting how he is standing with Katie in the race ahead.
“Katie Hobbs has repeatedly proven that she can deliver real results for Arizona families,” said Senator Ruben Gallego. “She knows how to work with anyone–regardless of party–to find common ground and get things done. She’s a fighter who will always put progress over politics and knows how to win tough races, and I’m proud to stand with her.”

Katie Hobbs. “From our time in the Legislature working across the aisle to expand Medicaid for more than 300,000 Arizonans and protect rural hospitals, Ruben and I have always put Arizona first. I’m proud of my record of slashing costs for Arizona families, stopping 25 million fentanyl pills from flooding our communities, and bringing people together to solve real problems. While there is more work to be done, I know with Ruben as a partner we can continue standing up for Arizonans and tackle our state’s biggest challenges.”
This announcement builds on Katie Hobbs’ growing momentum, having already secured the backing of Senator Mark Kelly, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, the Arizona AFL-CIO, EMILYs List, and having outraised every other gubernatorial candidate for two consecutive quarters.
Katie Hobbs has filed her statement of interest and has begun collecting signatures to get on the ballot in 2026. Registered Independent and Democratic voters in Arizona can sign the petition and get involved at katiehobbs.org/petition.
