PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs announced endorsements from Senator Mark Kelly and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords for her re-election in 2026. Senator Kelly and Giffords shared their announcement in a new video, highlighting their excitement to stand with Katie in the race ahead.
“We are thrilled to endorse our good friend, Katie Hobbs, for re-election,” said Senator Mark Kelly and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “Katie has delivered on the Arizona Promise, making progress and creating opportunity for our state. But continuing this important work won’t be easy — in her last election, the difference between moving Arizona forward and more chaos was a mere 17,000 votes. We need everyone working hard to make sure Katie wins this critically important election. The two of us love this state, and we need four more years of Gov. Katie Hobbs.”

This announcement builds on Katie Hobbs’ growing momentum, having already secured the backing of the Arizona AFL-CIO, EMILYs List, and outraising every other gubernatorial candidate for two consecutive quarters.
Last week, Katie Hobbs filed her statement of interest and began collecting signatures to get on the ballot in 2026. Registered Independent and Democratic voters in Arizona can sign the petition and get involved at katiehobbs.org/petition.
