Katie Hobbs Launches New TV and Radio Ads, “World” and “River,” Showing How She’s Fought To Protect Arizona’s Water

PHOENIX – Today, Katie Hobbs and the Navajo County Democratic Committee launched two new ads, “World” and “River,” highlighting Hobbs’ record of standing up to powerful interests and working across the aisle to deliver results for the people of Arizona.

“World” features Cochise County farmer Ed Curry, who grows chile seeds sold around the world, describing how his farm was losing water until Gov. Hobbs stepped in to help. Curry calls Hobbs “the most bipartisan governor […] in my 55 years in agriculture,” praising her willingness to stand up to her own party and the federal government to fight for what rural Arizonans need.

The radio ad, “River,” narrates how Hobbs took action to terminate a water lease of a Saudi-owned corporation that was draining Arizona’s groundwater.

“Katie Hobbs is willing to take on anyone – including powerful special interests and her own party – to stand up for Arizonans,” said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for the Hobbs campaign. “She stopped a Saudi-Arabian corporation from draining our groundwater, fought to secure Arizona’s fair share of the Colorado River, and stood up for the rural farmers and families who depend on water. When powerful interests threaten Arizonans, Katie Hobbs takes them on and delivers.”
