PHOENIX – In a new video, Katie Hobbs announced her re-election campaign, highlighting how she has put Arizona first and is running for re-election because there is more work to do. “From cutting taxes for middle-class families and lowering the cost of childcare to deploying the National Guard to secure our border, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past three years to put Arizona first,” said Katie Hobbs. âWhile Washington keeps driving up costs and fueling chaos, weâre balancing budgets, lowering costs, and delivering real results here at home. Thatâs why Iâm running to serve you for four more years â to keep moving Arizona forward and make sure our state is the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Together, weâll make sure the people of Arizona always come first.â
This announcement builds on Katie Hobbsâ growing momentum, having already secured the backing of Senator Mark Kelly, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Senator Ruben Gallego, Congressman Greg Stanton, Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari, the Arizona AFL-CIO, EMILYs List, and having outraised every other gubernatorial candidate for two consecutive quarters.Â

JADE: It is very difficult being a business owner.Â
SALLY: The prices are just going up so high.
JACOB: Itâs a lot to balance right now,Â
JADE: Especially in the climate today.Â
HOBBS: Jade, Stephanie and Jacob, Sally and Alberto. Their stories are like so many in Arizona, including my own.
HOBBS: I grew up in a working-class family. I worked at Burger King and Pizza Hut while going to school. And I drove for Uber to make sure my kids had Christmas presents.
HOBBS: My parents raised us to look out for others. Thatâs why, as your governor, putting Arizonans first has always been my priority.
HOBBS: Over the last three years, we cut taxes for middle-class families, small businesses, and veterans. We lowered childcare costs, so working parents arenât saddled with yet another expense. We turned a $1.4 billion deficit into a balanced budget. And we took the lead in computer chip manufacturing, creating thousands of good-paying jobs right here in Arizona.
STEPHANIE: To give my husband a place to find meaningful work to make a livable wage. I donât think our lives would be the same under different leadership.
HOBBS: As a border state, we have unique challenges. And when Washington politicians failed to secure it, I ordered the National Guard to the border to fight drug and human trafficking. And weâve seized over 12 million fentanyl pills.
HOBBS: When our resources were at risk, I stood up to my own party to get Arizonaâs fair share of Colorado River water.
HOBBS: And when a foreign corporation was pumping groundwater and shipping their product overseas, I stopped them.
JACOB: Katie Hobbs is tough.Â
SALLY: Sheâs very strong. Sheâs a fighter. Sheâs going to lead the people.
HOBBS: To get all this done in such partisan times, youâve gotta have thick skin and an ability to put politics aside. But itâs easier when you know exactly who youâre working for.
JACOB: Sheâs taking the time to show that she cares.Â
ALBERTO: She cares about the state. She cares about the folks.Â
JADE: She really cares about your day-to-day struggles and that is something that you donât see very often.Â
HOBBS: Iâm running to serve you for four more years. Because thereâs more work to do. While Washington D.C. keeps driving up prices, Iâm taking action to bring them down. To fix our stateâs education system. And to keep Arizona a safe place for all of our families.
STEPHANIE: I think her leadership is unmatched.Â
ALBERTO: She has stood her ground for the betterment of this state.Â
HOBBS: Iâm ready to keep moving Arizona forward, and together weâll make sure the people of Arizona always come first.
