PHOENIX – Katie Hobbs hit the airwaves this week in a media blitz highlighting her record of results, bipartisan leadership, and commitment to putting Arizona families first. Following her re-election announcement, Hobbs joined Univision Arizona, Arizona’s Family, FOX 10, 12 News, and Telemundo Arizona to share her vision for Arizona’s future and the clear contrast in this election.
On Univision Arizona, she emphasized how her own real-life experiences inform how she makes decisions as governor: “I understand so many of the struggles that Arizona families are facing because I faced a lot of them myself. My husband and I lost our home to foreclosure during the Great Recession. I drove for Uber to make sure my kids had Christmas presents, and we’re still paying off student loans, and so I’m focused on finding real ways to help Arizonans lower costs, and feel secure, and have a roof over their head, and not have that struggle.”
On Arizona’s Family, she drove home her record of delivering bipartisan solutions: “Arizona is stronger because I work to put politics aside and put Arizonans first, and tackle tough challenges that career politicians have ignored for years, like securing our water future, creating good-paying jobs, addressing the housing affordability issue, and lowering costs. And these are still big concerns that Arizonans have. I’m proud of the work I’ve done in those areas, but there’s more to do, and I’m ready to get it done.”
On Fox 10, Hobbs discussed the importance of bipartisanship and collaboration: “We have to work across the aisle to get things done. And you know, I believe Arizona voters sent all of us to the Capitol, Republicans or Democrats, to tackle the tough challenges like rising costs and housing security and our water and our border, and we’re not going to get anything done if we don’t work together. And this last legislative session, where we were going into a session where Republicans had picked up seats and people thought we would get less done, and we actually had the best legislative session of my time as governor.”
On 12News, she discussed how she’s working to earn the vote of every Arizonan: “I’m not taking a single vote for granted, and I am working this campaign to make sure that I am talking to Arizonans, whether they’re Republicans, Independents, Democrats, but again, the issues we’re facing are Arizona issues. They’re not political issues. They’re not partisan issues, and we need leaders who are going to bring people together to drive solutions and address them.”
On Telemundo, Hobbs recorded an interview that will air at a later time, highlighting her efforts to lower costs for working families and strengthen border security through bipartisan solutions.
Hobbs’ media stops followed the release of her new campaign video, “Arizona Stories,” which shares her personal journey and record of delivering for working families. The video features Arizonans whose stories reflect the progress made under Hobbs’ leadership — from cutting taxes and lowering childcare costs to balancing the budget and creating good-paying jobs — while underscoring that there’s more work to do to keep Arizona moving forward.
