NAVAJO NATION – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs and her running mate, former Mesa Mayor John Giles, traveled to the Navajo Nation to meet with Tribal members, local leaders, and small business owners and hear directly about the issues facing their communities. John visited the Chinle Flea Market, met with vendors, and spoke with community members. Later that evening, Katie and John joined local elected officials, veterans, and Tribal members at the Ganado Chapter House for a meet and greet.

Hobbs made history as the first sitting Arizona governor to address the Navajo Nation Council and to visit all 22 federally recognized Tribal Nations in Arizona. Engaging Native voters has been a top priority since day one, backed by a consistent presence in Tribal communities — meeting with Native voters and leaders across the state, visiting the Pascua Yaqui Tribe to discuss barriers to voting in Tribal communities, and delivering on investments in healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety, all while honoring Tribal sovereignty and self-determination.
