Elect Katie Hobbs Campaign Announces Nearly $6 Million Raised

PHOENIX – Today, Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs announced that her campaign committee, Elect Katie Hobbs, has raised nearly $6 million since she was elected governor in 2022. The contributions come from tens of thousands of supporters, and 96 percent of contributions are less than $100. Nearly half are new supporters who had not previously given during the 2022 campaign, showing that Gov. Hobbs has significantly expanded her coalition as governor. 

“Over the last two years, Gov. Hobbs has delivered on her promise to put Arizonans first, tackle the challenges her predecessors ignored, and make life better for middle-class families in our state,” said Nicole DeMont, Gov. Hobbs’ chief political strategist. “The Governor’s relentless focus on moving past partisan politics and delivering for Arizona has earned her the strong support of grassroots supporters, business leaders, and labor unions alike. As we enter the second half of her first term, Gov. Hobbs will continue proving to Arizonans that she is the right leader to move our state forward.” 

Since President Trump was elected in 2016, Democratic governors have been re-elected 26 out of 27 times. It has been over half a century since an Arizona incumbent governor lost re-election, and the most recent public polling has Gov. Hobbs’ approval rating at net 15 positive. Her popularity, the historical trends, and her unprecedented warchest put Gov. Hobbs in a strong position to earn a second term.
