Mellman Group: Voters Don’t Trust the Senate’s Election Audit
PHOENIX—As Secretary Katie Hobbs stands up to the Republican-backed “audit,” a poll conducted by the Mellman Group reports that:
“More than half of voters don’t trust the audit of Maricopa County’s election, and almost half of voters say they’re less likely to vote for a senator who backed the audit […] The poll found 56% of those who were informed about the audit felt that it could not be trusted, while those who had not heard much at all were unsure. But the more people learned about the audit, pollsters found, the less likely they were to trust it.”
Voters are weary of the partisan tactics and conspiracy theories that Republicans are using to undermine the results of the 2020 election, while Secretary Hobbs is a clear voice for transparency and the truth.
Secretary Hobbs has been outspoken about her opposition to this so-called audit. As governor, she will continue her work to protect fair and free elections.
