ICYMI: Katie Hobbs Discusses Solutions Can’t Wait Message on Meet the Press
Hobbs pledges to bring the leadership Arizona needs to tackle its toughest issues
PHOENIX – Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for governor Katie Hobbs was featured on NBC’s Meet the Press NOW to provide an in-depth look at how she will bring Arizonans together to tackle the most urgent issues facing the state.
“I have spent the last year-plus on the campaign trail talking to Arizonans about issues they’re concerned about, issues that our leaders have kicked the can down the road on for a long time – our water crisis, fixing public education, affordability,” Hobbs told NBC’s Chuck Todd. “These aren’t Democrat or Republican problems. They are Arizona problems that need Arizona solutions. And I’m running to bring the leadership we need to tackle those issues.”
The discussion about Arizona’s most pressing challenges follows Hobbs’ announcement of her second multi-day trip across the state for her Solutions Can’t Wait Tour, this time visiting Northern Arizona. The tour puts Hobbs face to face with voters and local stakeholders to discuss her solutions for the issues hitting everyday Arizonans the hardest. Among the other topics discussed during Wednesday’s interview, Hobbs reiterated her unwavering resolve as governor to be the “last line of defense” against the far right’s coordinated attack on reproductive health care.
