Hobbs Joins Former President Barack Obama and Senator Mark Kelly to Rally Voters Ahead of Election Day

With six days until Election Day, Obama makes a stop in Arizona to urge voters to support Hobbs

PHOENIX — Today, former President Barack Obama appeared alongside Arizona Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for governor Katie Hobbs to urge voters to support Hobbs and defeat Kari Lake’s extremist agenda.

Thousands gathered at Cesar Chavez High School in South Phoenix to hear Hobbs stand with Obama and speak about what’s at stake this election. Lake has repeatedly pushed election denialism, crusaded against reproductive rights, and released an economic agenda that was assailed by economic experts and Republicans.

At the rally, Hobbs emphasized her commitment to securing Arizona’s future:

“We will win this race, but it’s going to be close. All the polls have us tied, so that means we’re going to need every single person in this room to vote and help your friends and family make a plan to vote.

“I’m not afraid of a tough fight. I’m battle-tested. I’m the candidate who has won a statewide race. In fact, I’ve never lost an election, and I don’t intend to start now – especially with so much on the line.”
