Governor-Elect Katie Hobbs’ Inaugural Committee Announces Inauguration Theme, Pledge of Allegiance Art Contest
PHOENIX – Today, the Inaugural Committee for Governor-Elect Katie Hobbs announced the theme for her inauguration – An Arizona for Everyone. The theme reflects her commitment to ensuring that her inauguration and administration is representative of the diversity and strength of Arizona. Governor-Elect Hobbs will be the 5th female governor in Arizona history and the 24th governor of Arizona. Hobbs announced the theme on TikTok, inviting Arizonans to duet the video and share what “An Arizona for Everyone” means to them.
“This theme represents the beginning of a new era in Arizona – one in which everyone, no matter who they voted for, what they look like, or where they come from is valued, seen, and accepted. Our state can only flourish when everyone has a stake in its future to make Arizona the best place to live, work and raise a family.” said Governor-Elect Hobbs.
The Inaugural Committee is also announcing an art contest for children kindergarten through 8th grade. Governor-Elect Hobbs announced the contest on social media, inviting Arizona’s school children to participate in their state’s inauguration festivities online. The winning student and the winning student’s parents will be invited to the Governor-Elect’s inauguration ceremony on Jan. 5, in Phoenix, where the student will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and sit on stage with his or her parents as special guests.
