Katie Hobbs Hosts Roundtable with Latina Business Leaders
Hobbs spoke with Latina stakeholders about how to move Arizona’s economy and small businesses forward
PHOENIX – Yesterday, Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for governor Katie Hobbs met with Latina business leaders to discuss the most important issues facing them and their families and how to support women of color entrepreneurs as governor. During the discussion, Hobbs talked about how her Affordable Arizona plan will invest in Latino owned businesses and help uplift Arizona’s most marginalized communities.
“Together, we will make sure more Latina business owners have access to more grants and low-cost capital to help expand successful businesses, as well as microloans for new business startups.” Hobbs said. “I will also push for the state to increase Latina-owned businesses in state contracting so that they’re getting their fair share of economic opportunities.”
This is the latest show of unity as Hobbs rallies her coalitions ahead of Election Day. Most recently, Hobbs embarked on a tour of Maricopa County to connect with Arizona’s Latino communities and businesses.
In a recent Univision poll, Katie Hobbs outperformed Kari Lake by 30 points with Latino voters. The margin is not surprising given Kari Lakehas continued to lambast members of Arizona’s Latino communities as “rapists” and “hard-core criminals.”
