New Poll Shows Katie Hobbs Dominating Primary Race, Leading General Election

PHOENIX — A new poll released today shows Katie Hobbs, Secretary of State and candidate for governor, with a commanding 30-point lead over her next closest primary opponent and leading the likely Republican nominee by 5 points in the November general election.

“This poll confirms what we’ve been hearing from voters across the state: Katie Hobbs has an insurmountable lead in the primary and she’s in a prime position to beat either of the Republicans this November,” said Hobbs’ campaign manager, Nicole DeMont. “Voters know Katie will fight for Arizona as governor just as she defended Arizona from the election deniers and conspiracy theorists who attempted to overturn the will of the voters.” 

Hobbs leads the primary with 49 percent of the vote compared to Lopez’s 20 percent and Lieberman’s 10 percent, with 19 percent of voters still undecided. The poll was conducted after Lieberman emptied his campaign coffers in a Hail-Mary attempt to change the dynamics of the race. Still, Lieberman is in fourth place behind those who are undecided and 39 points behind Katie Hobbs.

Hobbs is in a strong position to win the general election against Kari Lake or Karrin Taylor Robson. Hobbs leads Lake by 5 points and leads Robson by 1 point. Since January, Robson has spent nearly $7 million on television and radio advertising and yet less than half of the electorate is familiar with Robson. Hobbs’ lead is driven by her established brand of fighting for Arizona and defending our freedoms, helping her consolidate Democrats while also outperforming among No-Party Affiliation independent voters that are key to winning statewide in Arizona.
