Katie Hobbs’ Statement on Senate Action to Ban Nearly All Abortion Access

PHOENIX — Today, Arizona Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs released the following statement on the Arizona State Senate Judiciary Committee voting to pass SB 1164, which will ban nearly all access to abortion after just 15 weeks of pregnancy:

“The patient’s room isn’t big enough to include the government,” said Katie Hobbs. “The Arizona Senate Judiciary Committee’s passage of a dangerous bill to ban nearly all abortion after 15 weeks is a threat to reproductive rights statewide. As governor, I’ll stand up to attacks stripping Arizonans of their freedom.”
